Originally from Scotland, I worked in leadership roles in hotels in different parts of the world eventually ending up in Australia. I then worked in tertiary education, hotels, real estate and consulting. I been consulting and coaching for over 10 years.
Being coached myself not only saved my job, but it led me to where I can have the most impact on individuals, teams and the bigger world. It is enjoyable and challenging, which means I am constantly learning and adapting to grow as a coach but more importantly as a human being.
Then main thing I will do is create a space for you to pause and connect with yourself. From there it is about understanding what you need to work on and the best way to go about it. At the end of a session I would hope that you have new awareness and clarity that brings you energy and commitment to doing something differently.
Some of the common things I have worked with people on are re-connecting to their self-confidence, getting out of the busyness, setting priorities and getting things done, managing relationships with peers and bosses, building better engagement with their teams and developing plans to transition from operational to strategic roles and identifying the key relationships and how to manage them.
My approach is dynamic underpinned by contemporary approaches including systems work, narrative coaching and mindfulness.
