You'LL Learn

The Team Reset process has four steps:

ReGroup
ReThink
ReShape
ReLaunch

A framework to help leaders and their teams come together, process and learn from the changes they have been through, get clear on what success looks like, agree on where to focus efforts, what is needed and how to make it happen.

The Reshape is about looking at how the team operates, the membership of the team, the roles within the team, the skills needed and how decisions are made - all in relationship to the new purpose and strategy.

  • Within this it is important the team works out how it can connect with and tap into the resources offered by the wider teams
  • Review meetings being held, the technology being used and ensure that they are serving and strengthening the team
  • Set clear priorities, teams can try and do too much – less is more
  • Be clear on the decision-making process and whether it is right for the team in a different world
  • The relaunch is agreeing the narrative, the compelling story, that will be used to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders what the team is doing, why it is important and how they are going about it
  • It is important that everyone is communicating the same message and is aligned to give a clear direction and build confidence in the leadership to deliver.
  • It takes a lot of work to get it right first time. Stories have an emotional impact on people. The story brings together purpose, strategic intention, values and KPIs. It also connects the past to the future

As part of the Relaunch, it is important to remain connected to the stakeholders and get feedback.
