Developing individual strategies for mind, body and spirit

OVERVIEW

Many leaders focus on taking care of those around them and neglect themselves. Using the airline oxygen mask analogy – look after yourself first to be able to help others – this program explores different techniques to apply to help people be at their best and move beyond coping towards thriving at work and in life. It will:

  • Define resilience, explore the elements necessary and develop strategies to build it
  • Understand the concept of recovery and what aids it and prevents it
  • Mindfulness practice and discussion
  • Understanding a positive mindset and gratitude
  • Developing individual strategies for mind, body and spirit and committing to the small changes that will make the biggest difference

Online modules and pre-work are used to engage participants before the workshop and create reflection and shared learning post workshop to deepen learning and embed the application of new skills at work. Copies of the models used and references to other learning resources are provided. Individuals write their own action plan to share with their managers as part of the program.

Group and individual GLWS reports can be used to give deeper insights and understanding to participants.
