This highly experiential 1 ½ day workshop that can be part of a larger development program or a stand-alone workshop.

It covers:

  • What coaching is and when do we use it
  • What is great coaching and what makes a great coach
  • Asking questions and the GROW model
  • Moving from active to empathetic listening
  • Coaching practice throughout the day
  • Key principles and ethics underpinning coaching - do’s and don’ts
  • Feedback: the do’s and don’ts and practice
  • The performance gap and having the difficult conversation
  • Personal reflection and action planning to become a better coach

Online modules and pre-work are used to engage participants before the workshop and create reflection and shared learning post workshop to deepen learning and embed the application of new skills at work. Copies of the models used and references to other learning resources are provided. Individuals write their own action plan to share with their managers as part of the program.
