The Steps to My Coaching Approach
Step
One
I meet with you to understand your context, history, the challenges being faced and what you would like to achieve. I will then propose an initial program and approach.
Step
Two
A kick off session with the team launches the program and gives them an understanding of the approach, the key concepts and models that will be used and what is needed from the team. Any team assessment tools that will be used will be launched.
Step
Three
Step Three : Together, we look forward to get clear on what success looks like to you and/or your team, and what will be different when the Coaching is finished.
Step
Four
I tailor an approach to create an interactive step-by-step process that focuses directly on your ideal future as a leader, a team and/or an organisation.
Step
Five
I chat with individual team members and whoever else is relevant to learn more about what is happening, the challenges they’re facing and what success looks like for them.
Step
Six
Through a series of workshops and Coaching Sessions, we strengthen relationships, build the foundational team charter (including team purpose, ways of working, goals and priorities) then create moments of reflection and learning and agreement on how the learning can be integrated into the team approach.
Murray Wright Coaching Approach FAQ
I take a systemic approach to team development coaching and tailoring it to the unique needs of each client. I use recognised coaching models and evidence-based techniques with practical strategies to help teams and their leaders develop their skills and provide them with the tools and resources to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
My coaching style is supportive and challenging, aimed at fostering self-awareness, resilience, accountability and continuous growth.
I ensure the effectiveness of my coaching style and process by setting clear, measurable goals from the outset and regularly reviewing progress with you and your teams.
My coaching process includes feedback loops, reflective practices, tools and resources that enable teams and their leaders to implement changes that create tangible results.
Success is measured through before and after surveys. Common outcomes are improved team dynamics and processes, stronger relationships and delivery of key business objectives.
My coaching style is unique because it integrates my extensive decades of firsthand international experience in executive roles and my training in team and executive coaching and system dynamics, along with the hard-earned experience of putting theory into practice to understand what really works.
For me, it’s about working on real problems in the moment and going beyond an intellectual exercise, to go deeper and create an embodied learning experience to shift thinking and behaviour as the catalyst for deep and sustained change that impacts positively across the system.
My work is underpinned by a systemic approach to help clients see and understand the bigger picture and their relationships to it, along with a focus on the solution rather than the problem as a way of creating forward movement.
I tailor my coaching sessions by conducting a thorough assessment of each leader and team’s context, their desired outcomes from the work, their stakeholder relationships, as well as current capabilities and challenges.
This includes one-on-one interviews, feedback from other team members and self-assessment tools. Based on this, I create a customised team development coaching plan and approach that focuses on specific areas of development, ensuring that the sessions are relevant and impactful.
Teams (and their individual members) can expect to gain a range of benefits from my coaching, including enhanced self-awareness, improved communication skills, better decision-making abilities. increased confidence and more engaged and empowered direct reports.
My coaching helps teams and their leaders navigate complex organisational challenges, build stronger relationships and drive strategic initiatives. Ultimately, teams will be better equipped to drive progress with purpose and achieve both personal and professional success.
