Getting stakeholder feedback – 4 questions

Getting stakeholder feedback – 4 questions

Getting stakeholder feedback – 4 questions

When last did your team engage with its internal and external stakeholders and seek their feedback?

Teams can often get caught up in the doing of business and forget to check in on how they are doing with their stakeholders. It is critically important to stay connected to stakeholders to know what is happening in their world and how their needs and expectations are changing.

There are various ways of doing this, one of the best is to allocate team members to interview different groups of stakeholders and then present back what they learn to the team.

Here are 4 simple questions to ask your stakeholders:

  1. What do you really value today about this team?
  2. What is changing for you in your reality?
  3. What will you really need from us in the future?
  4. What do you find difficult working with us?

Of course, after doing this, the team must take that feedback on board and make changes. This is not a set and forget exercise, it has to be a regular part of a team’s way of operating.
